FORMER Colchester United favourite Karl Duguid has joined the coaching set-up at Brightlingsea Regent.
The U’s double-promotion winner has linked up with the Pitching In Isthmian League division north club where he will join up with Ryan Salter’s coaching department.
Ex-Colchester skipper Duguid has former a strong relationship with Ryan Salter over the past year with the pair working together at the Sigma academy.

The 48-year-old, who made more than 450 league and cup appearances during his two spells at Colchester, had most recently been coaching at Braintree Town, where he worked alongside Steve Pitt in the National League for two seasons.

Since hanging up his boots and bringing down the curtain on an impressive playing career in 2015, Duguid has coached at the likes of Heybridge Swifts, Stanway Rovers and Coggeshall Town.
He won the Seniors World Cup with the England Veterans team earlier this summer.

The R’s are looking to move up the Isthmian League North table, after a disappointing start.
Duguid will be in the dugout with Brightlingsea for the first time when they travel to play Takeley on Saturday, after a two-week break from league action.
