Colchester United team news ahead of League Two game at Swindon Town
COLCHESTER United have been boosted by the news that Jake Leake has returned to full training following his shoulder injury.
The 23-year-old left-back has been sidelined after suffering the injury in the U’s 2-2 opening-day draw at Accrington Stanley, on August 15.
However, he is now back on the grass and could be considered for Colchester’s trip to play Swindon Town tomorrow.

Teddy Bishop remains out with a hamstring injury but Ben Perry is close to a comeback, after his long-term knee injury.
Perry has been out since August 2025 but is now back in full training and is set to feature for the U’s under-21 side in their Professional Development League game at Wigan Athletic, on September 15.
Colchester boss Danny Cowley said: "It's going to be fantastic for him, because he's obviously coming back from an ACL.
"He actually ruptured his medial and his ACL, so not easy at all and he has trained so hard.
"The medical staff led brilliantly by Kyle and Alex and Ross and all of the sports scientists, they've all put in a huge amount of work to support Ben but it's always the player.
"It's been a long road and he's finally getting to the end of it and he can see some light.
"It'll be great to see him back on the pitch and really for us, like a new signing."

The likes of Kylian Kouassi, Moses Sesay and Kane Vincent-Young are all pushing for a starting spot at Swindon having impressed off the bench in the second half of Colchester's defeat at Bristol Rovers, on Tuesday night.
Cowley added: "People think you just pick the team on form but sometimes, you're picking the team on where the players are at physically.
"It was a late finish, maybe 3am on Wednesday morning, so we had a slightly later start today [Thursday].
"We'll meet up again on Friday, see where they're at and make some good decisions."
