HARRISON Chamberlain has found a new club following his release by Colchester United.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper, who was among a number of players who left the U’s at the end of last season following the expiry of their contracts, has signed for Cray Valley PM, managed by former Colchester striker Kevin Lisbie.

Chamberlain, who spent time on loan at Cray Valley last season, has returned to the Pitching In Isthmian League south east division club on a permanent basis.

He started the Millers’ 2-0 defeat at Croydon Athletic, on Bank Holiday Monday.

Chamberlain also spent some time at Brightlingsea Regent during the 2023-24 season, along with Folkestone Invicta. Chamberlain, who featured for Colchester in pre-season, signed his first professional deal with the U’s in the summer of 2024.

The shot stopper played regularly for the U’s under-21 and under-18 sides but did not make a senior appearance during his time at the JobServe Community Stadium.

At the end of 2023, Chamberlain was recognised by the League Football Education (LFE) for impressive performances on the pitch and in the classroom.

The LFE recognises eleven U18s footballers for their outstanding efforts on and off the pitch in what they call 'The 11'.
