FORMER Colchester United goalkeeper Ethan Ross has signed for Forest Green Rovers.

The 29-year-old, who made eight appearances for the U's before leaving to join Lincoln City in 2020, has joined the National League outfit on a one-year deal.

Ross, who spent two years at Colchester, has joined Forest Green after being released by Altrincham at the end of last season.

Forest Green manager Robbie Savage said: “Ethan has been training with us over the past week.

“He is a fantastic goalkeeper and brings a wealth of experience at this level, adding real competition to Pags and Luke.

"I can't wait to see him in match action.”

Ross left Colchester to join Lincoln on a one-year deal, having helped them reach the League Two play-offs under John McGreal.

The 6ft 5in keeper has most recently been at Altrincham, having joined them in October, 2023. Ross made 65 appearances for the Robins, keeping 19 clean sheets but suffered a serious knee injury in 2025, which kept him sidelined for an extended period.
