COLCHESTER and District Sunday League premier division side Fifteen Degrees are celebrating after lifting the Essex Sunday Premier Cup, at Bowers and Pitsea FC.

The Mile End-based team were victorious in the final, thanks to former Colchester United youngster Adam Bailey-Dennis's late winner.

Lewis Blanchett's hat-trick helped them recover a two-goal deficit to beat Rayleigh Town 4-3 and become the first team from the Colchester and District Sunday League to win the competition.

Paul Bugg, who is Fifteen Degrees' joint-manager with Jordon Barber, said: "It was a great achievement.

"It's already been a fantastic season for us but it could be even better still.

"We've already won the Essex Sunday Premier Cup and the premier division title but we're still on course to win a quadruple, as we're in the Fowler Cup Final and the League Cup quarter-finals."

Fifteen Degrees, who have just been crowned premier division champions, fell behind in the 15th minute when George Vile converted a penalty.

And when Harry Talbot doubled their lead two minutes later, the Colchester-based side were up against it.

But Blanchett pulled a goal back for Fifteen Degrees from the penalty spot, ten minutes before the break.

And Blanchett slotted in an equaliser just after half-time, to make it 2-2.

Blanchett then completed his hat-trick with 18 minutes remaining when he picked up possession on the edge of the box, beat his man and lifted the ball over the keeper.

Talbot equalised for Rayleigh with a fine 20-yard shot but with nine minutes remaining, Bailey-Dennis headed in at the far post from a corner to seal Fifteen Degrees' victory.
