COLCHESTER United announced this morning that they would be releasing 11 of their out-of-contract senior players.
And some of those squad members who are departing the League Two club have since been reacting to the confirmed news, on social media.
Harry Pell, Callum Harriott and Tom Lapslie are all leaving the JobServe Community Stadium, along with Jevani Brown and Courtney Senior.
Josh Bohui, Paris Cowan-Hall, Luke Gambin, Omar Sowunmi, Diaz Wright and Callum Coulter will also be leaving the club.
Colchester's top scorer for this season Harriott wished the club well as he departs for pastures new.
The winger clocked up 64 league and cup appearances for the U's in that time, scoring 12 times.

Writing on Twitter, he said: 'It has been an incredible ten years at Colchester United and I have loved every minute of it. I will start by thinking all the coaches and staff at the club that have helped me throughout the years and pushed me through the various age groups to ultimately achieve my dream of being able to play professional football.
'Secondly, I would like to thank the supporters who have always got behind me and showed support even in the toughest of times.
'I hope you know that I could not have given any more to the club in my time here and always had the club's success at heart and always will do.
'I have been fortunate enough to have had some great teammates throughout the years who have made the journey even more special, so I wish the boys that are still there and Hayden all the best in the upcoming season and hope it is a successful one.
'I have had some great memories throughout my time including making my debut in the FA cup, scoring my first goal against Bristol City and of course the league cup run 2 years ago culminating in getting the opportunity to play at Old Trafford.
'I hope that the club can continue to make great memories for players and supporters alike over the coming seasons.
'Finally, I would like to thank my friends and family who have supported me throughout the years and who I know will continue to support me in my next adventure.
'Laps.'

He wrote on social media: 'All the best to everyone associated with the club. A club with a lot of potential. I wish things could have been different, but that's football. Good luck Colchester United.
