FORMER Colchester United favourite Jamie Cureton is celebrating after setting a remarkable new record.
The 50-year-old became the first player ever to score in each of English football’s top ten tiers after scoring for Kings Park Rangers in their 4-1 win at Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers, in Thurlow Nunn League first division north.
Writing on social media, Cureton said: ‘What a day thanks to @KingsParkRFC for letting me become a king 👑 everyone at the club has been amazing from the moment I walked through the door ⚽️’

Cureton turned 50 in August and joined Kings Park Rangers in the Eastern Counties League Division One North earlier this month.

Cureton, who last month left his role as manager of Pitching In Isthmian League division north side Cambridge City, joined Kings Park Rangers as a player earlier this month.
The Great Cornard-based side are playing at Step 6 level for the first time in their history following their promotion as Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division champions last season.
They play at Blackhouse Lane in Great Cornard, in a groundshare with Cornard United.

Cureton, who made his Premier League debut with Norwich back in 1994, wrote himself into Colchester’s record books when he scored 23 goals for them, in their memorable first-ever Championship season.
He made more than 50 appearances for the U’s and scored 31 goals before leaving to join Norwich City, in 2007.
Cureton has made more than 1,000 competitive appearances spanning nine tiers of the football pyramid, scoring more than 350 goals in that time.
