COLCHESTER United were beaten 1-0 at MK Dons, on Boxing Day.
Substitute Ellis Harrison scored an 89th-minute winner for the hosts, after it looked as though the U’s would claim an away point at Stadium MK.
The loss leaves Colchester six points above the relegation zone after six defeats in their last seven matches and boss Etherington admits it was a bitter pill to swallow.
U's fans have their say on another disappointing defeat for their side.

We set up for a draw and got found out. Another game where we had no plan and looked flat. Need a new manager and change of direction. Team selection seems to be out of a hat, rather than any logical thought.

6 defeats in 7 says it all. Completely out of sorts performance. No idea what the formation or gameplan was again as we have an unbalanced midfield. Defended manfully, but a non entity going forward & got what we deserved. ME's appointment is looking a worse decision each week

Etherington Out!

Tactically inept. Taylor cannot play as a lone striker. No outlet when in possession. Another set piece conceded. ME has to go, it’s no longer a question. Mitchell & Iandolo were good. I think the players gave what they could today but the system let them down.
Jim Lattimore
Not been to as many games as I’d like the last few years as I’ve moved out of the area, however try to see a few away games a season, can safely say that was some of the worst football and tactics I’ve seen since following the U’s. MK were bad too, whole game was, but we sucked.

Farcical now. Get rid of him.

Just isn't good enough anymore, ME just has to go now, 1 win in 7 games, deserves the sack. Just want this club to actually pick up points without conceding
Anthony Clachan
7 defeats in 8 relegation form indeed shouldn't be wating to go 1-0 down before we actually turn up so it's not good enough anymore and Etherington needs to go tonight or if we lose again Friday night.

I actually don't know what to say... I'm actually heartbroken at that result. Still win lose draw I'm Col U til I die even if we end up relegated
Michael O'Brien
Was happy to give ME the benefit of the doubt on his record as caretaker. Patently wrong. Basic errors, same squad selection, uninspiring substitutions and further denial of the predicament we again find ourselves in. Hopper not fit to wear the shirt and Chilvers a busted flush.

Give Matthew Etherington a new contract, he doing an excellent job for Col Utd!

We lack passion, only when we go a goal down do we come alive and fight for it. One of the chances we did have Taylor should of squared it to cooper and that would of been in , ME needs to go his football is s**t
