COLCHESTER United were beaten 2-0 at League Two leaders Stockport County, on Saturday afternoon.
The U's conceded goals either side of half-time to fall to defeat at Edgeley Park.
Colchester fans have their say on a defeat for Matty Etherington, in his first game in permanent charge.

Not the best of score lines. We need to be more clinical when we get our chances. Has spells while on top, but didn’t manage to capitalise on them.
Duncan Stonehouse
Greenidge weak link defensively again, feel a bit sorry for him. He gets exposed by every team we play. Chay needs more minutes.

Im right behind Etherington but today was really disappointing. Stockport are on fire atm yes, but why go there to draw? Right from the start Tovide isolated on his own with everyone behind the ball to park the bus. Hope it’s not a sign of things to come
David Clayton
Gave them a game but let ourselves down with 2 poor goals. Need to accept that Greenidge can’t play on the left. Cuts off half the pitch in attack & allows Fevrier to be double teamed on the right. Egbo on the right & Fevrier left would be better balanced. Mitchell did very well.

Stockport looked like they didn't have to get out of second gear today. Decent first half and unlucky to go in at half time behind, but the second goal killed the game.

Doing as well as we can with the length injury list. 2nd half of the season will be far better with a fully fit squad hopefully.

Had chances in the first half looked ok defensively but then switched off which cost us big time for both there goals need more leadership on the pitch and Owen needs to improve with his distribution and ne nearly cost us at least another 2 goals which could of been prevented

We held our own, they scored a goal, our heads dropped. After that we were timid, trying to rush our passes like the ball was going to blow up, and failed to get the basics right. Just take that extra second or two to work the ball more effectively. Oh well we go again. UTU
