FORMER Colchester United defender Kane Vincent-Young has been released by Ipswich Town.

Vincent-Young is one of four players to be released by the Blues, following their promotion to the Championship from League One.

Joel Coleman, Richard Keogh and Matt Penney will also be leaving Portman Road, after the club announced their retained list.

Vincent-Young joined Ipswich from Colchester in the summer of 2019.

In total, the 27-year-old made 64 appearances for Town, with 26 of those coming in the club's promotion-winning 2022/23 campaign.

He spent four full seasons playing for Colchester's first team, before leaving to join Ipswich.
