COLCHESTER United played out a 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers, on Saturday afternoon.

Noah Chilvers' penalty secured the U's a share of the spoils, after Harvey Saunders had given the visitors a first-half lead.

Colchester fans have their say on their side's draw, which leaves them five points above the League Two relegation zone with eight games remaining.

Predictable pattern. Final delivery is so poor. Newby embarrassing. Hopper’s had his chance; unavoidable conclusion is that he is a poor signing. If Tovide didn’t spend most of his time feigning injury he’d get more decisions. Read has to play when fit. Chambers did well.

Steve Parker

Disappointed Hartlepool equalised.

First half was a painful watch. Goal conceded was scrappy, and a classic Colchester goal to concede. Read changed the game when he came on, felt like a new team at the start of the second half.

I’m already concerned about Garner unfortunately. I know he’s not got a great choice available to him but to include Sears at all and to keep playing Hopper is very questionable imo. We are really struggling aren’t we. Worrying

In the end a good points. Started well then Tranmere scored and dictated. Too many misplaced passes, error strewn first half. Second better. Must say yet again poor officiating for both sides - 13 yellow cards really?

Two points dropped against a poor side. Dreadful first half, much better in the second. Can’t cut out defensive errors. Thought today, more than anything, showed with the exception of Tovide how poor our strikers are. Also I fail to see what Garner sees in Newby, Hopper or O’Hara.

Steve Wood

45 minutes of football, 45 minutes of feigning injury.

First half was woeful as well as the ref, when read came on he changed the game and fevrier was class, unlucky not to win it but onto Newport

All the talk will be about the ref, somehow the standard of officiating is getting worse! 13 cards in a game where there wasn’t a bad tackle in 100 mins. Absolutely dreadful from him and the lino who not only missed a clear pen on Samson Tovide but he also somehow booked him?!

Si Collinson

Getting a bit copy and paste at the moment. Poor first 50 odd minutes, stupid goal to concede. Then suddenly boom we remember how to play and really go on the offensive. Could and probably should have got more than a point. But still dangerously close to the drop.

How things have gone downhill so quickly. Crawley and Newport games will define the outcome for us. Let’s get Akinde and Sears back in the side. Hopper already looks like a waste of money.
