SOME of this country's most talented young footballers will be on show at the JobServe Community Stadium tonight when England under-20s take on Germany.

The Young Lions are in action at the home of Colchester United FC, kick-off 7.30pm.

Four days after their 2-0 defeat in Poland following two second-half goals, fans can now look forward to welcoming the squad for their next prestige fixture.

Since the start of the 2021/22 season, Andy Edwards’ side have comfortably beaten Romania and the Czech Republic, drawn with Italy and lost to Portugal.

Edwards said: “I know Colchester is a venue that has served England teams well in the past, with various men’s development and women’s fixtures having been staged there successfully.

“We look forward to returning to Essex with another exciting crop of Young Lions.

“As all England fans know, a fixture against Germany always stirs excitement, and this occasion will be no different.”
