COLCHESTER United's relegation fears increased when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Hartlepool United, on Tuesday night.

Noah Chilvers put the U's ahead in the 22nd minute but two goals in four second-half minutes from Omar Bogle and Isaac Fletcher condemned the hosts to defeat.

Colchester lie three points above the League Two relegation zone, heading into this weekend's home clash with Oldham Athletic.

U's fans have their say on another disappointing defeat for their team.

"It's not your club, it's my club" - well Robbie, you've killed it.

Duncan Stonehouse

Absolutely terrible. Why the hell was Sears playing left midfield? Brown needs to go immediately. We have to get an actual manager before it’s too late. No more failed managers getting promotions to made up pretend job roles. Just get a manager and let him manage.

Another woeful performance, Cowling has destroyed this club, no good experienced manager would want to work with him, Humes and Ball so he refuses to let his mates go. Recruitment has been shocking, I feel this is it for us in the football league

Matt Baldwin

Awful, no fight. No nothing. In a massive hole. 2nd best. Can see us going out the football league.

If Coxe scores his chance we win. As soon as Akinde went off we fell to pieces as nothing stuck in attack. Wiredu looks a shade of the player with fight/determination & his error led to our downfall. We look out of sorts all over the park & sadly think a miracle is needed. Awful, no fight. No nothing. In a massive hole. 2nd best. Can see us going out the football league.

Leaving Dallison out felt ominous when the team was announced & it proved a huge mistake. Of all the decisions made, waiting to appoint a proper manager may prove to be the most costly in our history. Hate to say it,& we'll be there Saturday but this group of players are undeserving of our support.A lot was made of the 'experienced' players coming to see out their career with a final contract.I thought this was unfair, but the fears have been realised. 30years supporting the club,1st time I believe players don't care

Jay Matthams

This defeat felt huge. The game was fairly even but once again we imploded. The second goal was unbelievably poor. We don't even concede like that in Sunday League!

Andy Glenister

We will be behind Oldham come 5pm on Saturday. We are down. Chairmen doesn’t care & it’s always been his dream to cost cut us to non league

Michael

Another disappointing result, we are in serious trouble now but until Cowling acts and gets a proper manager in and they are available, with the likes of Derek Adams , Nigel Adkins, Darren Ferguson to name a few then our time in the football league could be about to expire.

Same old, same old. Hoped last season would be a wake up call but no. new ideas not welcome at what is seeming more and more like a private members club for some mates.

Adam Walker

Enough is enough now we need change immediately

Phil Sadler

It was actually a pretty even game overall, could’ve gone either way. Quality not there though, midfield non-existent and a lot of long balls. Sears barely touched the ball all game.

CUFC

Please ask cowling why he’s not looking for an experienced manager

Whoever is picking the team on Saturday needs to be bold and drop BOTH of Smith & Chambers. These supposed League 1 players will take us out of League 2, but only in the wrong direction #ColU

James V

Can't blame the chairman for this one.. he's invested in the team. The players just lack the desire to hold out and win a football match.

Code-Zero

A new low, if that was possible? Our run in on current form looks horrible as well. Could be done and dusted by Easter.

Robbie Cowling is taking our club into non league football because he is too stubborn to admit he has got it wrong and make the necessary changes. Hasn't learnt anything from last season & refuses to listen.

Murrkin

Don’t care, not our club

Craig Dees

Load of crap. What's the update with the new manager? It's all gone very quiet on that front

Michael O'Brien

Maybe the lowest point t in Cowling’s abject 15 year reign which has taken us from the championship to the brink of the conference. Maybe RC sees relegation and the sake of the Tiptree land as his best way of recouping his investment? On football matters, Smith and Chambers awful

Get Humes out De Souza out Ball out and get a experienced manager in asap and change the captain as well because everything about this club atm is in absolute joke and it's horrible and painful to watch

Freddie Emerson

We need:1. A new chairman(he’s hopeless and doesn’t have the slightest interest in the club or fans).2. Get a manager in who knows what football is rather than hoof ball.and lastly get Tommy smith as far away from colu as physically possible. He’s awful
