COLCHESTER United had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Carlisle United, on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Tommy Smith and substitute Tyreik Wright had cancelled out Omari Patrick's fine opener for the visitors, early in the second half.

But Tobi Sho-Silva's 86th-minute header denied Colchester victory, leaving both clubs just above the League Two relegation zone.

U's fans have their say on the draw at the JobServe Community Stadium.

The hoof and hope style of play was terrible. We were set up like a non league team. Got a decent squad now with some decent attacking players, now we just need a decent manager to get the best out of them. Brown has improved the spirit but not convinced he’s up to it tactically.

Disappointing, after getting ourselves back into the game we game away a very sloppy goal to let them equalise. At least Oldham and Scunthorpe drew and lost, so it keeps the gap there. The four home games coming up will be decisive and need to get at least 9 from 12.

Jamie Hudson

Tactics and formation all wrong from kick off, looked better once we took a CB off and went more attacking, could have been a different game had we started like that. Another goal conceded where we just allow players to run at us. 2 points dropped and in a relegation scrap

David Clayton

Hugely frustrating. Once again we sit back in the 2nd half at home & allow the opposition onto us. It's a pattern now and so avoidable. Edwards was positive, though his decision making lets him down. Skuse MOTM.

2 points thrown away, dismal 1st half by both teams, slow start to 2nd, woke up when they scored and then criminal defending for their 2nd, no excuse for not seeing it out at 2-1, next few home games are huge without a good points haul from them we're in big trouble

Dutchy Dave Holland

Frustrating! Should of killed the game off 1st half with all the possession. Some really good build up play need to be more clinical and need to close down more in our own half notably around the edge of our in 18 yd box. The performance deserved more from it tbh. Up The U's

We have invested in the squad, we now need to invest in the management structure. Disappointed with today. Need to be more forward thinking if we are going to move forward.

Michael O'Brien

We should not be playing defensive football at home against the weaker teams in this league. Another failed Humes philosophy.

Poor game to be honest.

John S

Should’ve won it but some sloppy and dreadful defending made it so we didn’t

David Fincham

Wrong team selection today against a poor Carlisle team. Looked weak on right side and I say it every week but Hannant has to start to give balance or we are too central looking and not stretching teams. Delighted with Edwards, played well on the left today and threat all game

Crowd were flat at the beginning, team did not look up for it like we were at Orient.

Jake Furby

Boring first half. Could’ve done better with the goals we conceded. I think this shows we need a proper manager because we should’ve brought Corrie on.

We’re unbeaten in one.

Everything wrong from the minute go. 5 at the back against a relegation team ( like us). Another boring game at home. Only got going went Carlisle scored. Still in a relegation scrap and not over by a long way. Southend up via play offs Colchester down?

Col

Pathetic

Fraser

Played well for 30 mins otherwise too slow and passive. Seem to play with the handbrake on a lot of the time. Need to putting teams like Carlisle away. Like others not convinced Wayne Brown is good enough tactically as a permanent manager.
