Colchester United visit Sutton United in League Two

The U's visit Gander Green Lane aiming to claim their first win in seven league matches.

U's team news

Colchester United could hand a debut to new signing Owura Edwards tonight.

The 20-year-old winger has signed for the U's on loan from Bristol City, until the end of the season.

Fellow new signing Emyr Huws could also feature, after joining on a short-term deal until the end of the campaign.

Frank Nouble (pictured below, knee) and Miles Welch-Hayes (quad) both returned to action for Colchester against Barrow, last weekend and are set to be named in the squad.

However, Shamal George (ribs) and Ryan Clampin (knee) are still out.

“There needs to be a reaction and I think the players know that.

“The biggest disappointment was the defeat and the performance and some of the performance for large periods of that has got to change, because it wasn’t good enough."

"We've played 24 games and 13 of them have been away, so it's a chance for us to catch back up with our home games.

Last meeting

Colchester were beaten 2-1 at Sutton a fortnight ago, in the Papa John's Trophy Round of 16.

Jake Turner's unfortunate own goal gave the hosts the lead but Freddie Sears equalised, on the stroke of half-time.

However, Donovan Wilson's strike early in the second half sealed Sutton's progress.
