COLCHESTER United have announced that they will play Spurs in a pre-season friendly, later this month.

The U's will host the Premier League side on July 21, at the JobServe Community Stadium for a pre-season friendly, kick-off 7.45pm.

It will be Hayden Mullins' first home friendly since his appointment as Colchester head coach on a full-time basis, in May.

And it will also be one of new Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo's first chances to see his side in action, following his appointment as Jose Mourinho's successor earlier this month.

The friendly will bring back happy memories for U's fans of their side's magnificent Carabao Cup third-round win over Spurs at the Community Stadium back in 2019.

The U's won on penalties that night, after the tie had finished 0-0 after 90 minutes.

Tickets for the Spurs match are priced at £25 for adults, £20 concession, £15 for under-18s and £10 for under-11s.

Colchester will sell Match Permits for the Spurs game in priority stages, with the first batch going on sale tomorrow to Priority One - anyone who has already bought a CUFC Seasonal Match Permit for the 2021/22 season.

Tickets will then be made available on Friday to anyone who did not qualify for Priority One but bought a seasonal CUFC Seasonal Match Permit for the coming season.

Both Priority One and Priority Two fans will be able to buy two tickets for the Spurs game, depending on availability.

Tickets will become available next Monday to anyone who did not qualify for Priority One or Priority Two but has at least one Match Credit or at least one Loyal Supporter token.

Depending upon availability, these fans will be able to buy one ticket to the Spurs game, per person.
From next Tuesday, tickets will be available to anyone who did not qualify for the first three priority groups but has at least £50 loaded on a Privilege Card.

Depending upon availability, these fans will also be able to buy one ticket to the Spurs match, per person.

Tickets for the Spurs game will then go on General Sale, next Wednesday.
Spurs supporters will be able to purchase on ColUTickets.com from 10am, next Thursday (July 8).

Fans will only choose the section of the stadium where they want to be seated, when buying tickets and will also need to provide the name of the group you want to be seated with.

Seats will be allocated 24 hours before the game kicks off so that we can maximise capacity due to the group sizes.

The U's are making it easy for fans to create or join a group when they purchase a match-day permit, with many wanting to buy separately but sit together.
