COLCHESTER United will travel to play Bradford City on the opening day of the new League Two season.
The U's will travel to Valley Parade to take on the Bantams on September 12, after the fixtures for the new 2020-21 campaign were released this morning.
Steve Ball's side will then have a home game against Bolton Wanderers who were relegated from League One last season.
And they finish September to play Barrow, who were promoted as National League champions last season.
The U's finish the season with a trip to play Tranmere Rovers, on May 8.
Colchester will travel to play Southend United on Boxing Day in the Essex derby.
They will then host Blues at the JobServe Community Stadium on Tuesday, April 20.
Colchester will begin their campaign with a Carabao Cup first-round tie at Reading, on September 5.
They will then play their first Group A game in the Football League Trophy, the following week, before the League Two season gets underway on September 12.
Colchester will be hoping to at least emulate their achievement of reaching the League Two play-offs last season, when they embark on the brand new campaign.
Ball is preparing for his first season in charge of the U's, after taking over from John McGreal as head coach this summer.
