COLCHESTER United ran out comprehensive 3-1 winners at Leyton Orient to move up to fourth in League Two.

Theo Robinson scored twice and Harry Pell was also on target, as the U's extended their unbeaten league run to eight matches, at Brisbane Road.

Colchester are now just a point off the automatic promotion places and face second-placed Exeter City at the JobServe Community Stadium, on Sunday.

The Gazette's Colchester United reporter Jonathan Waldron gives his assessment following the U's fantastic away win.

DEAN GERKEN 8

U's keeper showed some confident handling on his return to the side after injury

RYAN JACKSON 8

Provided the cross for Robinson's goal and defended really well throughout

TOM EASTMAN 8

Hardly put a foot wrong once again; ensured Orient forwards hardly had a sniff

OMAR SOWUNMI 8

Was dominant in the air and on the ball, on only his second U's league start. Booked.

COHEN BRAMALL 8

Provided plenty of attacking ammunition with his set-pieces and direct running; defended solidly

HARRY PELL 9

U's man of the match. Skipper for the day scored his side’s second goal and also had an effort cleared off the line

BEN STEVENSON 8

Controlled the midfield and provided the vital link between defence and attack

KWAME POKU 8

Played his part in the Robinson's opener and hit a post early in the second half; caught the eye with his skill and trickery

LUKE GAMBIN 8

Was brilliantly denied by Sargant early in the second half and showed plenty of his skill and trickery

CALLUM HARRIOTT 9

Had a big hand in Pell’s goal and forced Sargeant into a smart save early on. Booked

THEO ROBINSON 9

Showed clinical form for both of his goals and produced a fine all-round display
