COLCHESTER United hold their End of Season dinner tonight.

The U's Player of the Year for the current 2018-19 season will be announced at the event, held at the JobServe Community Stadium.

The club will also announce their Young Player of the Year for the campaign, along with the Players' Player of the Year.

The Colchester United Supporters Association Home and Away Player of the Year accolades will also be presented, as will the Goal of the Season award in addition to other club prizes.

At last season's awards, long-serving defender Tom Eastman was named Player of the Year award for the third time in his seven seasons at the club.

The former Ipswich Town centre-back also landed both the CUSA Home and Away Player of the Year accolades, last year.

Kane Vincent-Young picked up two awards last season, winning the Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season accolades.

Former Spurs and England midfielder Steve Hodge will be guest speaker at the event.

It is a big week for Colchester head coach John McGreal and his players, as they prepare for their pivotal final weekend of the regular League Two season.

The U's head to newly-crowned champions Lincoln City on Saturday looking for victory to give themselves a chance of landing a coveted play-off spot.

Colchester, who lie two points off the top seven with a game remaining, need to win and hope other results go their way if they are to make it into the play-offs.

Meanwhile, Colchester left-back Vincent-Young will see a specialist in the early part of this week in a bid to assess the full extent of his abdominal injury.

The former Spurs youngster has missed the U's last two games due to the injury and is a big doubt for their key game at Lincoln, on Saturday.
