TYREECE Simpson has thanked Colchester United and their supporters after his loan spell ended.
The 23-year-old striker made the final appearance of his loan spell at the U's from League One outfit Stevenage after coming on as a second-half substitute in their 0-0 draw with Barrow at the JobServe Community Stadium, on Saturday afternoon.
Simpson was desperately unlucky not to mark his farewell appearance for Colchester with a goal, with his acrobatic effort coming back off a post in the stalemate with the Bluebirds.

Simpson joined Colchester on loan from Stevenage, in January.
In total, the former Ipswich Town youngster made 20 league appearances for the U's, six of which were starts.
Simpson scored two goals for Colchester, both in games against Notts County.
