FORMER Colchester United defender Harry Beadle has signed for National League South side Aveley.

The 21-year-old defender has joined the Millers, after being released by the U's at the end of last season.

Beadle joined Colchester on a one-year professional contract in the summer of 2021, having been with Charlton Athletic's academy.

He made his professional debut for Colchester in the 2021-22 season when he featured in their Papa John's Trophy defeat to Gillingham.

In May 2022, he signed a one-year contract with the U's and has had loan spells at Braintree Town and Bishop's Stortford, whom he played with in National League North.

In total, Beadle made two first-team appearances for Colchester.

He was one of a number of players released by Colchester, at the end of last season.
