DANNY Cowley says he wants to give Colchester United supporters something to believe in and feel part of next season.

U’s season-tickets for the 2024-25 campaign will be available to buy from today and U’s boss Cowley is hoping that fans will be watching a team challenging at the right end of the League Two table.

A season ticket to watch Colchester at the JobServe Community Stadium will remain the same for the 2024-25 season, with supporters who renew benefitting from a discounted price.

Attendances at the U’s have been on the up since the Cowleys' appointment in January, with the average support increasing by more than 1,100 per game and the U’s head coach is aiming to give supporters something to cheer.

Cowley said: “We know that this football club holds a special place in so many people’s hearts.

“You saw the crowd against Wrexham, you saw the crowd on the final day against Crewe.

“We just have to make sure that we do all we can to ensure that people come more regularly.

“I think last year, maybe 1,200 were season-ticket holders; if we can get to maybe 2,500-3,000, it’s possible but they have to have something to believe in.

“They have to have something that they feel part of and what was lovely when we walked around the ground after the game was that you could feel and sense how much the club meant, to so many people.

“This is really powerful in itself and for some people, you can feel that this club is that safe and secure place.

“It’s a place of belonging for them, it’s family for them and that’s what a really good football club should do for the local community.

“It’s one of my favourite moments in football at the end of a hard season when you get to walk around and just thank for the supporters for all of the support that they’ve given the team.”

Colchester supporters will be able to get discounted tickets in the Early Bird phase until June 30, while existing season-ticket holders who renew by June 3 will receive an additional discount.
