A PITCH inspection will take place tomorrow morning ahead of Colchester United's scheduled home clash with Doncaster Rovers.

A local EFL official will conduct the inspection at the JobServe Community Stadium at 8am, on Tuesday morning.

Colchester say a decision will be communicated to supporters via social media and the club website shortly afterwards.

More rain is forecast for the North Essex area tomorrow.

Earlier this month, Colchester's home clash with promotion-chasing Stockport County was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

It was the second U's home fixture in the space of three weeks to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, following their game with Grimsby Town being called off on February 13.

Colchester currently lie two points above the relegation zone, with 11 games remaining.
