OWEN Goodman started for England under-20s in their defeat to Romania in Bucharest, on Thursday night.

The U’s on-loan goalkeeper featured for the Young Lions in their 2-0 reverse in the Men's Euro Elite League match, at Arcul de Triumf.

Joe Edwards' England Elite League side were the dominant side for much of the game but ultimately came away empty handed.

Romania went ahead after five minutes through Cristian Mihai, who scored with a 20-yard shot.

The hosts then made it 2-0 ten minutes later when Atanas Trică converted from the spot, after Alexandru Musi was brought down in the box.
