COLCHESTER United's pitch will be assessed by the match officials later this morning ahead of today's game with Newport County.
The state of the JobServe Community Stadium will be assessed later according to Newport County AFC's official Twitter feed, following the heavy rain in the North Essex area over the last 48 hours.
In a second tweet this morning, Newport confirmed that officials are happy for the game to go ahead, weather permitting.
