Comedian Jack Whitehall sold out a Colchester venue in under an hour as people across the city rushed to get tickets.

It took just 40 minutes for tickets to sell out to see the Hollywood star at Charter Hall on Wednesday morning.

As a part of his Warming Up tour, the renowned comedian will be visiting venues across the country to test out his new material.

The international star is widely celebrated for his comedy shows Travels With My Father, Bad Education and the BAFTA winning A League Of Their Own.

More recently, Jack starred in Disney’s blockbuster adventure Jungle Cruise opposite Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.

In response to the overwhelming popularity of the show, Colchester Events, in partnership with Phil McIntyre Live Ltd, has released tickets for a second, later show at the venue on the same evening.
