FIRE crews are at the scene of a blaze at Middlewick Ranges.
Essex Fire Service confirmed it is dealing with a fire at the Wick, in Abbot's Road, Colchester.
The team Tweeted: "Thank you to everyone who has called our control team but, as we are already aware and dealing with this incident, there is no need to call us if you see smoke in the area."

Residents are said to have used garden hoses and buckets of water to fight a field fire.
