EXPERIENCED playmaker Alan Judge insists there is no time for Colchester United to dwell on their disappointing draw with Leyton Orient.

The U's returned to training today in the aftermath of their game with the O's, where they conceded in stoppage-time to draw 2-2.

Judge admits conceding so late against the O's having looked on course for a precious victory was tough to take.

But with a home game against Port Vale to come on Saturday, midfielder Judge says they have to keep going.

Judge told Col U TV: "We have to get ready and go again.

"There's no time to be disappointed.

Gazette:

"A few of us have been in this position before, some of the young lads maybe not, so it's up to us experienced lads to make sure we get them going and not give up.

"I feel like we're playing well at times - we play some good stuff and we're scoring but we just need to tighten up a bit.

"There's encouraging signs but we don't want the games to run out.

"We can't keep giving ourselves a mountain to climb when we're comfortable in games.

"I feel like we're playing well and we're creating a lot of chances.

"But as a collective unit, we need to tighten up a bit more."

Gazette:

Judge played in a more withdrawn midfield role alongside Cole Skuse and then Emyr Huws, against Orient.

The former Republic of Ireland international had a hand in both Colchester goals, scored by Myles Kenlock and Owura Edwards.

"I enjoyed that role," said Judge, who has made 29 appearances for the U's since signing for them from Ipswich Town, last summer.

"I'm a bit older now so I'm not so much a number ten - I leave that to Chilly (Noah Chilvers) because he's got great legs on him and gets up and down the pitch.

"I feel like that works for me at the moment, especially when I play alongside Skusey.

"I feel like I can contribute a bit from deep and I'm enjoying that role."

Gazette:

Colchester looked like they were heading for a precious win against Orient, after two goals in four minutes from Kenlock and Edwards had cancelled out Ruel Sotiriou’s thunderbolt for the visitors.

However, Ethan Coleman struck an equaliser for the O's in the third minute of stoppage-time, to deny Colchester victory.

"Once we equalised, I only saw us winning to be honest," added Judge.

"But we just keep giving away silly goals.

"Kenny (Myles Kenlock) knows he shouldn't have had a nibble at him, especially when he knows he got away with the first one.

"But he played well and scored a goal for us, so he'll come back and he'll be fine.

"I felt comfortable out there and we had control of the game but it's just those silly mistakes we make."
