BRADFORD City are looking for a new manager after dismissing Derek Adams.

The Bantams lie 11th in League Two and following a run of one win in their last five matches, have decided to make a change.

Bradford have placed assistant manager Mark Trueman in caretaker charge of first-team affairs with immediate effect.

He will oversee their League Two match against struggling Oldham Athletic, on Saturday.

Bradford chief executive officer Ryan Sparks told the club's website: β€œOn behalf of the board, it is with deep regret that we have come to the decision to part company with Derek Adams.

β€œA sustained period of consideration has led to this decision and it is felt that, with all things taken into account, the club must move in a different direction with regards to the role of first-team manager.

β€œWe would like to thank Derek for his efforts while at Valley Parade, and wish him the very best for the future.”

Former Morecambe boss Adams took over at Bradford, last June.

He presided over 37 competitive fixtures at the Bantams, registering nine wins, 13 defeats and 15 draws.

Colchester played out a 0-0 draw at Bradford, last December.

The U's play host to the Bantams at the JobServe Community Stadium, on April 18.
