THE first-ever specific girls' cricket academy in Essex has been launched by PiriPiri Cricket.

The Girls Specialist Cricket Coaching sessions, led by Essex Women’s first team player and ECB Level 2 Coach Beth Dodd, will be staged at Holmwood House Sports Hall, in Lexden.

It is designed specifically for girls to enhance their cricket skills and have fun whilst developing their technique and all-round game.

Beth and the PiriPiri coaches will deliver Girls Specialist Coaching sessions throughout the year.

They include weekly group sessions, half-term coaching camps, summer coaching camps, 1-2-1 coaching sessions and coaching masterclasses.

Dodd said: "Having played cricket from grassroots up to regional level, I know how important it is to have good quality coaching; equally I realise it is paramount to simply enjoy the game.

"My aim with the PiriPiri Girls Academy is to ensure we achieve both."

The first term of PiriPiri Cricket's Girls Specialist Coaching takes place on January 8, 15, 22 and 29 2022.

They will be staged at Holmwood House Sports Hall in Lexden, between 12pm and 2pm.

It costs £80.00 per term (four-week term) - contact Coaching@Piripiricricket.com for further information.
