A FOURTH person has been arrested in connection with an assault which has left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
Officers were called to reports of a fight shortly before 4.20am on Saturday, August 28, in St Botolph's Street, Colchester.
A man in his 40s was found near the junction with Queen Street.
He was taken to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
On Thursday evening a 20-year-old man from Colchester was arrested and questioned on suspicion of affray.
He has been released on bail until September 27.

Three other people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A 20-year-old man from West Bergholt and a 19-year-old man from Colchester were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Both have been released on bail until September 22.
A woman who was arrested on suspicion of affray has been released on bail until September 24.
