TWO parts of Colchester have seen their Covid infection rate double in a week, but six areas recorded almost no cases.
A map compiled using Government data shows the infection rate in each part of the borough as well as the change compared with a week earlier.
Both the wards of Wivenhoe and University as well as Abbey Field have seen a 100 per cent rise.
This means they saw double the number of cases in the week to March 6 compared with a week earlier.
However, six areas recorded less than three cases in this week.
This means the virus is officially classed as "suppressed" in these parts of the borough.
