A MAN will appear in court charged with production of cannabis after more than 270 plants were discovered during a raid in Colchester.
Officers from the Colchester Community Policing Team raided an address on The Willows estate in south Colchester on Friday.
They were following up on reports and concerns raised by members of the community.
Officers said they discovered more than 270 cannabis plants inside the property and arrested a 26-year-old man at the scene.

Kreshnik Shpata, of Mulberry Walk, Colchester, was charged with one count of producing cannabis.
He appeared at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Saturday and is set to be back before magistrates tomorrow for a plea hearing.
