YOUNG people from a Bromley church took up the karaoke challenge for a good cause.

About 120 young people turned up at Hayes Free Church in Pickhurst Lane, West Wickham, for the entertaining evening which included food and a raffle.

Everyone who went to the microphone to make fools of themselves or to impress with their talent did so knowing they were helping to raise cash for St Christopher's hospice in Sydenham.

The event raised £255. Last year the youngsters hosted a fund-raising fashion show, also for the hospice.
