Rain proves a problem for seniors at Forrester Park
THE heavy rain on Wednesday which flooded the Forrester Park Golf Club greens caused the veterans’ competition to be cancelled.
The ladies were luckier on Tuesday and managed to get in some useful matchplay practice for the forthcoming Bronze and Harris Bowl matches.
The course had made a remarkable recovery for the weekend and the winter league quarter-finals were completed to establish the last four teams.
The men not involved in the winter league played a stableford which was won by Roy Sayer with 40 points, with Graham Podd second on 39 and Phil Prior third with 38.
