CLACTON Golf Club’s junior section played their February Medal and George Fuller did well in testing conditions to return a winning score of 104-36-68.
In second was junior captain Josh Bethell, with 77-8-69, and in third was Wilf Elliott, with 81-11-70.
With summer coming, the juniors are looking for any other boys and girls who might like to play golf and join them on Saturday mornings at 9am.
Meanwhile, Clacton’s seniors turned out on a damp morning to play in the annual three clubs and a putter competition. The winner was Ray Crossfield, with 42 points.
In second was Derek Woodrow, with 41, on countback from third-placed Alfie Smith, on countback from Malcolm Taylor.
Clacton’s ladies played their February hi-low pairs stableford and the winners were Chris Crossfield and Shelia Coleman, with 60 points.
In second were Lorna Forder and Eve Bracci, with 58, and in third were Denise Pink and Pat Gilbert, with 46.
