WITHAM TOWN went goal crazy in their Essex Senior League Cup Group A match against Eton Manor at Spa Road.
They won 6-1, with in-form Scott Lodge scoring twice to take his personal tally in his last three games to six goals.
Witham were much the better team throughout.
They took the lead after six minutes through Bradley Stopher, who converted after Rob Whitnell had seen his effort cleared off the line.
Sam Taylor was then denied by Eton Manor goalkeeper Joe Egan, before Richard Manning doubled Witham’s lead.
However, Eton Manor pulled a goal back almost immediately through Joe May, who netted with a tremendous strike.
However, Lodge made it 3-1 from close range with a crafty flick after 18 minutes.
The score remained the same until half-time but Witham cemented their victory with three further goals in the second half.
Egan denied Whitnell just after the break, before the impressive Lewis Godbold finished neatly eight minutes into the second half.
Lodge then scored again following a good run and cross by Craig Emery.
And Whitnell completed Witham’s win, following another tireless run by the hard-working Emery.
In Ryman League division one north, MALDON AND TIPTREE played out a 1-1 draw with AFC Sudbury at Park Drive.
