HARWICH AND PARKESTON were given a masterclass in clinical finishing by a young Dereham team with title aspirations.

The Shrimpers were beaten 4-0, showing that new boss Tony Armstrong has some work to do if his side are to avoid relegation from the Ridgeons League premier division.

“We were beaten by a better team who were quality and they caught us in the middle of massive upheaval,” Armstrong told the Gazette.

“We never really got to grips with them in the midfield and we made basic mistakes.

“However, it was pleasing to see more local people through the gates and hopefully we can now work on improving.”

Harwich lost Darren Hawes, David Hawes, Matt Greenley and Eldon Craig during the week, as they followed former boss Richard Elms out of the exit door.
