THEIR future may be out of their hands but Wivenhoe Town's players will be fighting for their Ryman League division one north survival tomorrow.

The Dragons face Waltham Forest at Witham Town's Spa Road ground (kick-off 3pm) knowing that even a win may not ensure they prolong their stay at level four of the non-league pyramid, but manager Richard Carter insists his team will be battling all the way.

Wivenhoe, who are currently bottom of the division, with two teams heading for the drop, have to hope both Ilford and Tilbury fail to win in their final games of a turbulent season.

Ilford, who are unbeaten in six games, play Witham Town, while Tilbury, who have picked up just two points from last 15, face Arlesey Town.

With Tilbury likely to have a point deducted for fielding an ineligible player, a point against Waltham Forest may also be enough to keep Wivenhoe safe because of their superior goal difference.

Carter said: "We are fully up and ready for it and have had a great boost that Danny Hart is back from injury.

"We have to do our job and hope things go our way elsewhere.

"I will have people at both the other games so we will have first-hand information what is going on there."

Carter said he expected to have a full squad to choose from for the crucial game.
