BRAINTREE TOWN could face a nervous wait after their match with Eastbourne Borough tomorrow to see if they have made the play-offs.
The Iron go into their final scheduled Blue Square South game of the season at Cressing Road knowing that a victory is essential if they are to prolong their campaign further.
In addition, they will have to hope that Fisher Athletic, Eastleigh, Newport County, Bath City and Bromley slip up if they are to fulfil their objective of making the play-offs for the second successive season.
The vital 1-0 victory at relegated Dorchester Town on Tuesday night has left Lee Patterson's side just off a point of a top-five finish.
And Patterson wants to see his side give it one last push against Eastbourne.
He said: "We needed to make sure that we had a chance in the final game otherwise the season tails off.
"The fact that we still have something to play for is testamant to the dedication of the players.
"They have always done what I have asked of them and I hope that if we do what we need to do and results go for us we can nick a play-off spot."
Eastbourne have already booked their place in the play-offs, having finished the season in second spot.
