Halstead Town will aim to win their first piece of silverware under manager Jody Brown tonight when they play in the First Division Knockout Cup final.

Town travel to Mildenhall FC to take on Ely City.

Although Ely have already won promotion from Ridgeons League division one, Brown's side will head into the final with plenty of confidence.

They have already beaten City twice this season including earlier this month, when they won 1-0 thanks to Danny Rochester's goal.

Former Tiptree manager Brown believes his side are capable of winning the trophy.

He said: "Ely will be strong but if we can cope with their direct approach, we know that we'll be in the game."

Paul Abrahams and Ross Barton are both ruled out of the final because of injury.

And young defender Andy Joslin misses out due to his Colne College commitments.
