KEVIN Coyle stepped off the substitutes' bench to inspire FC Clacton to a 2-1 Ridgeons League division one success against Long Melford.
The Seasiders were trailing at half-time but roared back thanks to a goal and assist from the defender.
First he won the ball in his own half, surged forward and teed-up the equaliser for Sean Hillier.
Then he cracked home an unstoppable free-kick to make it 2-1.
Clacton boss David Coyle told the Gazette: "He did really well when he came on and gave us a bit of quality.
"There's no point having substitutes if they're not going to make a difference and improve your side and that's exactly what he did.
"To set up our equaliser and then score the winner was a great effort. I can't ask for much more than that."
