KEITH Wilson is the new manager at Heybridge Swifts.

The former Burnham Ramblers’ manager has left Leslie Field to join Ryman League division one north rivals Swifts.

The move follows former Swifts manager Jody Brown’s appointment as Grays Athletic manager at the end of last month.

Ramblers were contacted by Swifts on Friday evening to talk to Wilson, he then met with representatives from the club on Saturday before being offered the job on Sunday.

Wilson met with his new players for the first time on Tuesday night during training.

Player-coach Lee Boylan is staying with Swifts and Wilson will also be assisted by goalkeeper coach Ricky Clarke within the management structure as well.

Wilson’s assistant manager David Patient is to take full control of all football at Ramblers including any future appointment of a first-team manager.
