FORMER Colchester United favourite Tom Eastman has been called up to the England C squad for their game against Wales later this month.

Eastman, who left the U's to join National League side Dagenham and Redbridge last summer after spending 12 years at the JobServe Community Stadium, has been named in head coach Paul Fairclough's squad for the game, which takes place at Llanelli’s Stebonheath Park on Tuesday, March 19.

Gazette:

Myles Kenlock, who spent half a season on loan at Colchester from neighbours Ipswich Town in the second half of the 2021-22 campaign, has also been included in the England C squad.

Kenlock is currently plying his trade for National League side Ebbsfleet United.

England C and the Wales counterparts will contest the Anthony Hughes Trophy, named in memory of former the FA Council member who was chairman of the Southern Football League and also involved with Merthyr Town and thus a big supporter of English and Welsh football.

Fairclough has named an initial squad of 16 players with a further contingency group of ten, selected from clubs within the National League and below.
