U's legend backs Dunne to get Colchester back on track (From Gazette)

I'm not sure how keeping us in league 1 is a big achievement, a team that's been no lower than top half of league 1 for what must be a decade nearly?
There's still a lot of teams that get smaller gates and also don't have the luxury of all the extra income the stadium gets for the club, with non football related events.
Yes I think most fans after recent performance would take it but realistically with this club should be mid table (like it has been for a while).
However I still think with dunne and kinsella in charge we will rise above ourselves, just maybe not this season though.

The true football purists on this site last season only had to mention we would be relegation candidates this season,and were then scorned upon by the followers of Ward, who thought he was gods gift to football. We are now paying heavily for the mistakes made by the previous magagement, and if he was still here now, then we would have been in a worse position and rooted at the rock bottom of the table. To keep us in this league this season is going to take a miracle now. I know Joe will try his utmost for that not to happen, but unless he is ruthless in disposing of certain players to bring fresh ones in he has little hope. I am dreading Saturdays match at Bournmouth because they are playing superb football at this moment. Being without Bean,Magnus, Massey and Gilbey plus a few others with injuries will be a huge challenge for whatever team is that put out. I do fear a hammering could be on the cards but lets hope not. In fact it should be an eye opener to Joe watching Bournmouth playing atacking football and that you must have defenders that can get back in fefence just as quick as going forward. Fitness of players is still one of the biggest issues with me at Colchester and that needs looking into if Joe wants to play football his way. Whatever come rain or shine Saturday I will be cheering my beloved U's on. Miracles do happen and i'm praying for one on Saturday. .

I'm sure the likes of bury, Hartlepool, scunny,Walsall and Portsmouth who could also be docked points are all thinking the same thing, we may be poor at the mo but there's worse out there
