John Ward said Colchester United have been boosted by their back-to-back wins in League One.

The U’s head to Yeovil Town on Saturday in buoyant mood, following their dramatic late win over Brentford in midweek.

That followed Colchester’s win at Leyton Orient and boss Ward said his players are looking forward to their trip to Huish Park.

Ward said: “The win over Brentford puts everyone in a good mood, going into the next games.

“We have a lot of fixtures coming up thick and fast and we need to be ready for them.

“We’re happy with the two wins that we’ve had and we’re capable of going to Yeovil tomorrow and getting a good result.

“But they’ve had a bit of a resurgence themselves and they had an excellent result at Wycombe in midweek.

“It will be two teams playing with a wee bit of confidence about them and it’ll be a tough fixture.”
