Spectators have been urged to arrive early for England's under-21 international qualifier against Iceland tonight, at the Weston Homes Community Stadium (7.30pm kick-off).

The official car park is sold out but the U’s will be running a shuttle bus service from across town, priced at £1.50 return.

Fans have been advised to arrive as early as possible for the game - turnstiles open at 6pm.

Colchester United general manager Tim Waddington said: “We know what we’ve got with this game and we know that we’re sold out.

“We’ve got proceedures in place to make sure that we can handle that amount of people.

“When we’ve struggled in the past is when we haven’t quite sold out and demand outstrips available supply.

“When we played Norwich a couple of years back it was a sell out game and the logistics were quite straight forward.

“We’ve tried to make people aware where possible what the options are.

“Every person who bought tickets has been emailed.

“I’m sure there are a few who will slip through the gaps but we have our stewards on board who will direct people to the available parking.”
