Former U’s legend Richard Wilkins believes Ben Coker has the potential to shine at Colchester United.
Wilkins is manager of newly-promoted Ryman Premier side Bury Town, from whom Coker has joined the U’s on trial.
Coker – out of contract at Bury – has been hoping to impress Colchester boss John Ward over recent days.
The promising left-sided player has been taking part in pre-season training with the U’s, after rising to prominence at the Suffolk club.
