Eugen Bopp today revealed his determination to win a contract at Ipswich Town.
The former Nottingham Forest star recently released after six seasons at The City Ground has been on trial with the Blues and played in Saturday's opening friendly at Boston United.
The match ended 1-1 Nicky Forster scored Town's goal from the penalty spot and Bopp was given 45 minutes, along with fellow trialists Colin Healy and Alexis Bertin.
Although none of them will train with the club next week, manager Jim Magilton has not ruled out bringing them back at a later date.
And Bopp told the Evening Gazette: "It was fantastic to be given a chance and important for me to be out there.
"I did my best and had a couple of chances, but overall I wasn't completely satisfied with the way I played.
"There was something missing from my game and I know I can do much better, if I get the chance."
