Robbie Cowling is more optimistic about Colchester United's chances for the forthcoming season than any other during his time in charge of the club.
The U's executive chairman was speaking at the club's Open Day at the Weston Homes Community Stadium yesterday.
Cowling said: "I always start any season with optimism.
"We were disappointed with what happened at the end of last season but I'm more optimistic about this season, maybe more than any other that I've been here."
